MakeTravelEasy acts solely as an intermediary between customers and third-party travel service providers.
GENERAL TERMS (APPLICABLE TO ALL SERVICES)
- We do not own or operate airlines, hotels, transport services, or embassies.
- All bookings are subject to third-party provider rules.
- Prices are dynamic and may change until confirmed.
- Commission and Markups charged by MakeTravelEasy are non-refundable unless otherwise stated.
- We are not liable for force majeure events including natural disasters, pandemics, political unrest, or government restrictions.
- Maximum liability shall not exceed the Commission and Markup charged by MakeTravelEasy.
FLIGHT BOOKING TERMS
- Tickets are subject to airline fare rules.
- Refunds depend entirely on airline policies.
- Schedule changes are controlled by the airline.
- We are not responsible for denied boarding, baggage loss, or delays.
- Customers must verify passenger name spelling before ticket issuance.
HOTEL BOOKING TERMS
- Hotel cancellation policies apply as per selected rate.
- Early check-in / late check-out subject to availability.
- Hotel amenities are controlled by the hotel.
- We are not liable for service deficiencies of the hotel.
HOLIDAY PACKAGE TERMS
- Itineraries are subject to change due to operational reasons.
- Inclusions & exclusions are clearly defined at booking.
- Local tour operators are responsible for ground services.
- No refund for unused services.
BUS BOOKING TERMS
- Bus operators are responsible for schedule and seat allocation.
- Boarding points must be verified by the passenger.
- We are not responsible for delays or cancellations by operator.
RAIL BOOKING TERMS
- Tickets are subject to Indian Railways or respective rail authority rules.
- Waitlisted tickets are not guaranteed.
- Refunds depend on railway cancellation policies.
VISA ASSISTANCE TERMS
- We provide documentation assistance only.
- Visa approval or rejection is solely at the discretion of the respective embassy/consulate.
- Visa fees and service charges are non-refundable once submitted.
- We are not liable for delays or rejections.
CORPORATE CLIENT TERMS
- Corporate clients must provide accurate traveler details.
- Credit terms (if offered) must be in writing.
- Company is responsible for employee travel compliance.
PAYMENT TERMS
- Full or partial advance payment may be required.
- Bookings are confirmed only after payment receipt.
- Chargebacks without valid reason may lead to legal action.
FORCE MAJEURE
We shall not be liable for events beyond our control including:
- Natural calamities
- Government travel bans
- Airline insolvency
- Strikes
- Political unrest
GOVERNING LAW
These terms shall be governed by the laws of India.
Jurisdiction: Courts of Thiruvananthapuram.
IMPORTANT SOLO AGENT PROTECTION CLAUSE
MakeTravelEasy operates as a sole proprietorship travel facilitator.
All services are provided in good faith as an intermediary.
We shall not be responsible for consequential losses including business loss, missed meetings, or indirect damages.
Payment Terms & Chargeback Policy
1. Advance Payment Requirement
All bookings made through MakeTravelEasy require full or partial advance payment, as communicated at the time of booking.
Payments must be made via:
- Bank Transfer (NEFT / IMPS / RTGS)
- UPI Transfer
MakeTravelEasy does not provide any direct online payment gateway facility.
Bookings are processed only after receipt of payment.
All bookings are made through the authorized agent portal of Akbar Travels of India or relevant third-party travel service providers.
2. Booking Confirmation
A booking is considered confirmed only after:
- Payment is received, and
- Ticket / voucher / confirmation is issued.
Until confirmation is issued, fares and availability are subject to change.
3. Non-Payment & Delayed Payment
If payment is not received within the agreed time:
- Fare may change without prior notice
- Booking may lapse
- MakeTravelEasy is not responsible for price increase
4. No Direct Payment Liability
Since MakeTravelEasy does not operate a payment gateway:
- Customers are responsible for ensuring correct transfer of funds.
- Incorrect transfers or third-party payment errors are not the responsibility of MakeTravelEasy.
5. Chargeback & Payment Reversal Protection
In the event of:
- Unauthorized payment reversal
- UPI dispute
- Bank chargeback
- Fraudulent payment dispute
The customer agrees that:
- The booking remains valid and chargeable.
- Services already rendered are payable in full.
- Any financial loss, recovery cost, or legal expense incurred by MakeTravelEasy shall be recoverable from the customer.
MakeTravelEasy reserves the right to initiate civil recovery proceedings in case of fraudulent chargebacks.
6. Refund Processing
Refunds, where applicable:
- Are subject to airline/hotel/service provider policies.
- May take 7–45 working days depending on the provider.
- Commission and Markups charged by MakeTravelEasy are non-refundable unless explicitly agreed.
MakeTravelEasy does not control third-party refund timelines.
7. Corporate Credit Terms (If offered)
Corporate credit (if granted):
- Must be documented in writing.
- Must be paid within agreed credit period.
- Delayed payments may attract late fees or service suspension.
Legal Protection Clause
Maximum liability of MakeTravelEasy in any circumstance shall not exceed the Commission and Markup charged for the respective booking.
MakeTravelEasy shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses including business loss or missed opportunities.
